Video Line Inspection

You may need a storm or sewer line video inspection for several reasons: Persistent blockage, determining the condition of your line, or unseen leaks. Our trained camera technicians will make a video of your sewer line. They will note issues such as root intrusions, bellies (where the pipe is reverse grade), or an offset (where the pipes are no longer properly aligned). All of these can lead to frequent backups of your sewer main.

Depending on the problem, it may be time to consider a replacement or repair. Especially if backups are causing chronic disruptions to our tenants, property damage, contamination risks, or high labor costs to clear frequent blockages.

Sewer and Storm Line Repairs and Replacement

You will need to repair or replace it when mud shows up in the line, or the cabling cannot get through it. Master Plumbing knows the challenges of keeping operations running while executing repairs. This includes navigating city and county requirements for road closures, the permitting and inspection process, timelines, and costs.

We add bubblers to storm drain systems, French drains, cable storm downspouts, area drains, and patio drains, all to prevent flooding or pooling in critical areas of your property.

IN THE WALLS

When plumbing is located in places you cannot see, such as underground or in walls, you need qualified, experienced technicians. One who know the most efficient ways to find the problem. Our trained technicians open up walls to locate a broken pipe and do a correct repair that is code compliant. In-wall pipe leaks and breaks are costly to identify and need to be repaired correctly once. You don’t want to go back in again once the wall gets sealed up because someone did not do a thorough and compliant job.

UNDER-SLAB

Another potentially costly issue is a broken pipe under a slab foundation. You will need experts to remove the slab and repair the pipe or replace it; we can do both. Master Plumbing has equipment that reduces the dig time and disruption to your business or client. We have experience fixing pipes in commercial companies, parking lots, strip malls, underground garages, and apartment and HOA complexes. Again, efficiency reduces downtime, and the experience correctly completes the job.

Hydro-Flushing Storm Drain Lines and Sewer Line

We recommend a scheduled, proactive, planned Hydro flushing of the storm drain and sewer lines. Clearing tree roots, grease, and debris will give you many more years of life in your storm and sewer lines. The alternative is always much more costly to property, time, and reserve accounts.

Sewer lines require regular maintenance, especially in strip malls that have or have had eating establishments as well as older buildings. You might be saying, “Why would I go looking for trouble? I don’t have sewer leaks”. Grease left in sewer lines eats away at cast iron pipe in a process called MIC (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion). You will see leaks and pipe replacement much sooner. Secondly the likelihood that your pipes will contaminate the surrounding soil requiring disposal at expensive dump sites. Preventative maintenance is a cost well worth the price considering the alternative. We have seen flooded stores, multiple apartments under water. Similarly cars in parking areas damaged, and most often during the rainy season. These events happen without hydro-flushing scheduled regularly.

For storm drains, we recommend you schedule us to come out to dig out storm drain collection boxes. In addition, get all the lines flushed from the boxes on your private property to the city storm drain every Sept-Oct. Doing your annual inspection and maintenance ensures that your storm drain system is ready for winter, reducing the chances of flooding and property damage.

Sewer Backups

When you have commercial bathrooms used by multiple tenants or the public, you already know that backups are a regular part of your plumbing budget. Master Plumbing can maintain or replace the toilets, sinks, and urinals in your buildings’ operations. Chronic backups may need video line inspections to determine issues that could improve. We install ADA, elongated, round front, wall-mount, pressure flush toilets, contactless faucets, and sinks.

Storm Line Backups

Whenever a storm drains backup for these typical reasons: plugged catch basins with garden material like tree roots and leaves, cracked or offset pipes, or deferred maintenance. When rainwater does not drain away as designed, it leads to rapid flooding and property damage. We hydro-flush, cable, and sometimes pump water out and away from damaged areas in emergencies. Based on what we find, Master Plumbing will assess the problem and propose ways to prevent chronic repeats. We have four-inch pumps to move water away quickly for larger systems where pumps have failed.

Storm & Sewer FAQs

Using pressurized water (up to 4,000 psi) water is directed through a specialized nozzle into pipes in a safe and controlled manner. The pressurized water can clear grease, tree roots, and debris leaving the lines open.

You risk an emergency situation, reacting to numerous collateral problems including possible effluent water contamination of storm drains with subsequent city and EPA penalties, shut down of operations of your leasees, property damage inside units, and a long, costly process back to normal.

Master Plumbing installs and replaces up to 16-inch sewer or storm pipe.

TIPS OF THE TRADE

Ask the plumber if the company does installation only.

If a plumber does not service their installed work, markedly you may need help finding someone to fix something that leaks or breaks at short notice.
